More

I am more than the sum of every high and every low.
I am more than my achievements and the things I choose to show.

I am more than my choices, the wrong ones and the right.
I am more than my vocation, the resources I provide.

I am more than a position on a ladder we’re encouraged to climb.
I am more than my regrets, or the things I try to hide.

I am more than people’s judgement of me.
I am more than what may come naturally.
I am more than my proudest memories of me.
I am more than the failings only I see.

For if all of them didn’t exist, I’m still here. I still am.
I’m still yours.

But you are God’s chosen treasure —priests who are kings, a spiritual “nation” set apart as God’s devoted ones. He called you out of darkness to experience his marvellous light, and now he claims you as his very own. 1 Peter 2:9 TPT
