If you have fear, big or small, chronic or passing, let’s pray!
You are what makes us whole.
We don’t have to wait for courage, because our strength comes from you.
Give us what we need, today.
You face every obstacle with us.
We don’t have to bear the weight of our questions, our anxieties, our desires, without you.
Make your presence known to us.
You have a way for us – out of the other side, or to safe harbour, despite the storm.
We don’t have to stay where we are, forever; everything will pass.
Let Your strength be our hope.
You overwhelm us with your goodness and power.
We don’t have to wonder if we can make it. With you, it is a certainty.
Hold us up, until our fear has passed.
And may we remember that there is no shadow that can hide us from our Father’s sight.
There is no place we can fall, no issue that can bind us, away from His reach.
He is our strength, our salvation, and the promise of our future.
May we come to know our fears.
To befriend our body’s way of preparing for courage: fuelling us to stand and fight, or break free.
To observe the patterns that need to change, to build our strength.
To recognise the liar, so we can and turn back his words with those of our Father’s,
“…be strong, do not fear, your God will come…He will come to save you.” [Isaiah 3:4]
Do not fear, for He has redeemed you; He has summoned you by name. You are His. [Isaiah 43:1]
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.” [Deut 31:6]
The Lord is your rock, your fortress, and your deliverer. [Psalm 18:2]
May we believe that we are captives who have been released.
May we remember that fear will not destroy us.
Because we are safe,
with Him who loves us.
Forever and ever,
