Comparison Steals

Jealousy is a liar
comparison steals your joy
as you wish that you were others
but don’t see the gifts inside.

The gifts that came from Papa,
the gifts He gave that are hiding there,
waiting for you to discover
that you’re a child and you’re an heir.

It takes your eyes from off the Father
and it sets them onto you,
feeling that He doesn’t love you;
that He’s forgotten about you.

But this person He’s created
He has shaped to just be you,
to rise up in all your fullness,
to shine His light, reveal His truth.

Your gift’s to bring His freedom
to the ones He gives to you…
