Ethos and Faith

Print Collective is informed by the following set of beliefs:

John 14:16-17 and 15:3-5, 1 Corinthians 12: 4-6

We believe that God can speak through the talents, abilities and gifts He has given.

While our contributors may have created a work as their own expression of faith or experience, we believe God can use their submission to edify, instruct, encourage and bless others.

All our contributors are unique

John 14:23, Zephaniah 3:17, Proverbs 8:17

We believe that faith is a personal experience.

While our contributors may share a religious denomination, tradition, or ideation we believe each person will explore faith in different measures and have different encounters and experiences that inform their relationship with, and response to, God.

We all share the platform

1 Thessalonians 5:11, Ephesians 4:11-13 and 4:16 Romans 1:11-12

We believe that every person is able (and required) to share their voice to edify the body of the Church.

While our contributors may never preach, lead musical worship, speak or lead prayer from a public platform, they all possess insight, wisdom and experience that can contribute to the health, well-being and development of the Church.

Statement of faith

While we do not align Print Collective with any singular denomination, it is informed by the following statement of faith:

A bible lies open to PsalmsThe Bible

II Timothy 3:15-17, Psalm 19:7, Hebrews 4:12

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, authoritative Word of God.
While all content may not contain specific reference to the Bible, we do not publish content we discern to be contradictive to its teachings.

Three birds sit closely on a single wireThe ‘Trinity’

Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 8:6, Ephesians 4:4-6

We believe that there is one God, in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
While all contributors may not refer to each individually, we do not publish content that denies the deity of Jesus Christ or continued work of the Holy Spirit in modern life.

A loaf and Wine glass stand before twinkling lightsThe Crucifixion as foundation for salvation

Romans 5:10, Galatians 2:2, 1 Corinthians 15:3

We believe that Jesus’ life is the model for our faith and His crucifixion the necessary sacrifice to enable our reconciliation with God.
While all content may not explore the origin of salvation, we do not publish content that suggests it may be “earned” or “achieved” by other means.

The Church is one body

I Corinthians 12:12- 27, Romans 12:4-5, Colossians 1:18 and 3:15

We believe that regardless of religious tradition or personal expression of faith, all those who recognise the One God and salvation through Jesus Christ, are members of His body, the Church.
While all contributors may not agree on tradition or various elements of faith, we publish content that we discern is intended to edify this body and complies with Romans 14:19:

So then, let us aim for harmony in the church and try to build each other up.’
